About domaining.id

Who we are

domaining.id was started because buying and selling a good domain name is still harder than it should be. Sellers list on forums, marketplaces bury good names under thousands of speculative ones, and buyers are left guessing whether the person on the other end of a transfer actually owns what they're selling. We built domaining.id to be a smaller, more curated place to do this: every listing is checked before it goes live, and every domain that sells goes through a staged transfer instead of a blind wire-and-hope handoff.

We are an Indonesia-based team with a particular focus on the .id country-code namespace — a space we think is under-served relative to how much genuine local and international demand exists for good Indonesian domain names — alongside a broader marketplace for premium domains, built websites and digital products more generally.

What we do

domaining.id runs three connected marketplaces:

• Domain names — aftermarket domains listed by individual owners and portfolio holders, priced for outright purchase or, on eligible listings, a lease-to-own payment plan.
• Websites — established sites with existing traffic, content or revenue, sold as a package with the domain.
• Digital products — templates, brand kits and other assets that pair well with a domain purchase.

We don't take ownership of inventory ourselves. Sellers list what they own; we provide the marketplace, the verification steps, the payment rails and the transfer process that sits between a buyer clicking "buy" and a domain actually landing in their account.

How we operate

Every listing goes through a review before publication: we check that the domain resolves, confirm the lister has access to manage it (typically via a control-panel or WHOIS check, depending on the registrar and TLD), and remove obviously duplicated or squatted listings. Pricing on the marketplace is set by sellers. Where we show a suggested or "estimated" value, it's a starting reference for negotiation, not an appraisal from a licensed valuer. Buyers should always do their own diligence on a name's history, trademark exposure and past use before committing to a purchase.

Why buyers can trust the process

The core protection in any domain sale is sequencing: money and the domain should never move in a way that leaves one side exposed. Our process is built around that idea.

• Verified ownership before listing. We confirm the seller controls the domain before it appears in search results.
• Funds held during transfer. For marketplace-brokered sales, buyer funds are held by domaining.id and only released to the seller once the domain has been confirmed as transferred into the buyer's account.
• Staged transfer, not a blind handoff. The seller initiates a push or authorization-code transfer, the buyer confirms receipt, and only then does payment settle. Neither side is asked to move first without the other having something to show for it.
• A paper trail. Every step — listing, offer, payment, transfer confirmation — is logged against the order, so there's a record to refer back to if something goes wrong.
