We screen listings before publication to confirm the lister controls the domain, but that check happens at listing time, not continuously. We recommend doing your own diligence — check the domain's history, look for any trademark conflicts, and use our messaging tools to ask the seller questions before you buy.

Can I negotiate the price?

Yes. Most listings accept offers. Submit an offer with an optional note, and the seller can accept, decline or counter. You'll be notified as soon as they respond.

What happens after I pay?

Funds are held by domaining.id rather than sent straight to the seller. The seller is notified to start the transfer (either an authorization-code transfer or a registrar push, depending on the TLD). Once you confirm the domain has arrived in your account, funds are released to the seller.

What if the seller doesn't transfer the domain?

No — we don't run trademark clearance on listings. That's the buyer's responsibility. If you're planning to build a brand around a purchased domain, we'd strongly recommend a trademark search in the relevant jurisdictions before you commit.

Yes, some sellers list domains with an active website or business attached. Listings should say clearly whether the domain is idle or in active use, and whether a website, content or traffic is included in the sale.
